My dad and I got an old hay elevator off of craigslist and converted it into a wood conveyor for firewood. We have a decent amount of space for firewood but it always seems like we need to move it far from where it is split, no problem anymore. Conveyor is 26′ long and approximately 13′ high on the top end. It went together faster and easier than we thought. Put a coat of black rustoleum on it and just need to wire in a switch and it will be 100%. It ended up being balanced just right, you can easily lift the motor side and wheel it around. I may add some handles down there eventually. This was made with mostly free materials, the only things bought new were the wheels and hardware, metal was free from a friend, wood was extra.
