This video shows how a Teflon belt is used to convey tortilla that has just been pressed in to flat, round disks.

The PTFE (Teflon) conveyor belt is used for two main reasons. The first is because of the heat that the belt will resist which is a maximum of 260 Celsius. The second main reason is due to the non stick properties of the belt itself.

Typically the belts are supplied at a thickness of 0.25mm and come in a variety of styles depending on the machine they are to be fitted with.

If the belt is to be supplied on a Lawrence equipment machine for example, we would make this exactly to the OEM specification which includes metal indexing strips down one edge of the belt and a castellated joining mechanism.

We can manufacture Teflon tortilla belts in food grade blue which is preferred by any customers as this colour easily identifiable if the belt gets damaged and breaks.
