The excellent Gerber MP400 Compact Sport Multi Tool features a 5.92 ounce stainless steel body and tools including pliers, needle nose pliers, wire cutter, wire crimper, small/medium/large flat head screw driver, phillips screw driver, bottle opener, can opener, serrated knife, and Fiscar scissors. I have used this exact Gerber for several years all around the world and it has never let me down. With a price of 30-50 dollars it is my number one choice at this time for an entry level light weight multi tool. Note, this is stainless steel and I mention a bit of rust through heavy use, but it is actually stained from dirt and dust in Iraq. For entry level multi tool I rate 9/10.
