This video shows static extraction efficiency testing for removal of cutter picks from conveyor belts. In underground coal operations continuous mining machinery mines the coal face, the cutter picks and pick casings dislodge from the machinery and end up on the section, trunk, spine and shaft conveyors where there are many transfer points. These transfer points run the risk of belt rip and damage due to unwanted tramp iron. Magquip self air cooled belt magnets are flameproof certified for use in underground coal mines (Zone 21/22).
