Testing 16′ long modular Safe Conveyor with unique low friction open mesh rodless belting for Pharmaceutical application. This video demonstrates using a photoelectric sensor to Start/Stop the conveyor. Long line conveyors can have problems on startup with loads on the belt. Excessive belt stretching during starting can cause sprocket slippage (hopping). Normally we would retard or ramp the speed up on a long line, but this system needs to quickly restart after an item is removed from the end.
This test verifies that the 6″ mesh belting can quickly start/stop with a load of approximately 40 lbs without experiencing any adverse effects.
