What is animal feed?
Animal feed is food given to domestic animals in the course of animal husbandry. Unlike traditional animal feed, nowadays, animal feed is pelleted by feed mill machine.
How does animal feed line work?
A feed mill plant includes grinding machine, mixing machine, screw conveyor, silo, pellet mill, pellet cooler. The grinding machine can crush the maize and soya bean meal into fine powder, then the fine powder can mix with the wheat bran, bone meal, microelement, vitamin and other raw materials to make the complete feed mesh. By using our ZLSP animal feed machine, the mesh is made into feed pellets. The feed pellets can be packed directly after the screening and cooling.
This feed pellet line can produce 2~8mm of feed pellets with 600-1000kg/h pellet output capacity. The pellets are suitable for feeding pig, cattle, sheep, rabbit, chicken, duck, geese, fish and other animals.
STLP 300/STLP400 feed pellet line is widely used in small and medium size of animal feed production plant, farms and individuals, etc.
Process to make animal feeds
As shown in the video, the maize and soya bean meal (store & directly feed on ground) is sucked into the Grinding Machine and crushed into fine powder. Any other powder/soft materials, such as wheat bran, bone meal, microelement, vitamin, etc, which don’t need to be crushed, they can directly feed into the Vertical Mixing Machine from its feeding port. All materials are mixed uniformly and discharged into the hopper of Screw Conveyor then feed into Temporary Storage Silo by screw conveyor. By Screw Feeder, the mixed materials are uniformly and continuously feed into the Feed Mill then produced into feed pellets. The pellets are discharged into the hopper of Belt Conveyor then feed into the Pellet Cooling Machine through Air Lock. With the cooling process, the fresh & hot pellets are cooled, the pellet temperature is not more 5℃ than the room temperature. The cooled pellets are screened by the Vibrating Screen, then they can be packaged.
